The benefits of choosing Serenity Silk luxury bedding :-
Silk is 100% natural. It is composed of over 97% protein, of which there are 18 amino acids including serine which is an anti-acarid which prevents the growth of mould. The Chinese believe that pure silk has many health benefits. These include:
- Circulation problems
- Vascular sclerosis
- Relief from arthritis and joint pain
- Sensitive skin including eczema, psoriasis and itchy skin.
- Sufferers from Parkinson’s disease have benefited from a more restful night's sleep.
All the bedding is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites. This makes Serenity Silk products invaluable to people who may have allergy or asthma related problems. Silk is a natural fibre, moisture resistant, and breathable, allowing the release of any dampness from the body. This keeps the bedclothes dry and comfortable.
Our luxurious duvets are filled with 100% Grade A Mulberry silk floss. This is sewn with scientific patterns to make sure that the silk within the duvet does not move. This means that you do not get cold and hot spots as can happen in a feather or polyester duvet. The silk is also selected for its superior fibre elasticity and tenacity. Elasticity keeps the duvet fluffy and soft, while tenacity prevents the silk from bulking. The duvets are lightweight and contour to your body.
With silk’s natural thermal properties the duvets allow your body to be warm in winter and cool in summer. Natural silk is the strongest of all fibres, even if set on fire the combustion does not produce a poisonous gas and will not burn easily.
We hope by using our luxury bedding you will have years of the ultimate sleep experience.
How to care for your luxury silk bedding
Silk Filled Duvets
Serenity Silk duvets must always be protected with a removable duvet cover. If the need arises to clean small stains from the duvet it is best to use a clean cloth and warm water, no more than 30°. For larger areas use a non-biological soap such as Ecover Ecological washing liquid and then rinse using cold water, then gently squeeze out the excess water and hang out in the fresh air to dry. DO NOT wring out or put in the tumble dryer.
Serenity Silk duvets benefit from being hung out in the sunshine every now and then for an hour or two this enables any moisture that may be trapped to dry out. It also revitalises the long Mulberry silk floss.
Silk Filled Pillows
Serenity Silk pillows must always be protected by either a cotton or silk cover. This will protect your pillow from everyday wear and tear.
Any small stains may be removed by using a damp clean cloth or a small amount of Ecover ecological washing liquid and then rinsed in cold water and hung out to dry in fresh air. DO NOT machine wash your pillow as it will destroy the natural fibres.
Silk sheets and pillow cases
Serenity Silk sheets and pillow cases are made from 100% charmeuse silk. These items may be washed in a machine on a cool wash, 30° or below using a non biological washing liquid such as Ecover or environmentally friendly Eco Balls or even Soapnuts. The sheets and pillow cases can then be hung out to dry in the sun, or put in a cool tumble dryer. To iron, use a cool setting, or the silk setting recommended on the iron.Links
